CLEC People - March 22, 2001Wayne KawamotoManaging Editor, CLEC-Planet PAIX.net has appointed Paul Vixie as the company's president. Vixie, a 20-year industry veteran and a founder of PAIX.net, will lead the company's international expansion and oversee all company operations, including sales, engineering and service. PAIX.net is a subsidiary of Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN). EUR Systems, an outsourcing service company for communications and IP providers, announced the appointment of John E. Boyd as the company's new President and Chief Executive Officer. Boyd will assume his new duties on April 1st. Boyd comes to EUR Systems with more than 35 years of industry experience, including serving leadership roles in the development of local markets for AT&T Local Service, where he helped AT&T enter the CLEC business and provide local access telecommunications services in national markets. iMagicTV announced that Norman Bier, former Assistant Vice President, Sales (US), has been appointed Vice President of Sales for North and South America. Bier will be responsible for sales in North and South America. Bier has over 13 years experience in the telecommunications and cable industries and has held executive positions at BellSouth and Tel-Link, LCC, a CLEC located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. |
