Yipes Communications, Inc. announced that Kevin Boyne has joined its board of directors. Boyne most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for UUNET, a WorldCom company. He was responsible for the global operations of UUNET's services, including the backbone, customer leased line and dial access network, data center operations, capacity planning and procurement, network expansion and new customer installation. Boyne joined UUNET in 1995 as manager of engineering and was responsible for the design and implementation of one of the world's largest and highest-performance IP networks. Boyne received a bachelor's of science degree in mathematics and master's of science degree in computer and information science from The Ohio State University.

Choice One Communications (Nasdaq: CWON), an Integrated Communications Provider offering facilities-based voice and data telecommunications services, web hosting, design and development to small and medium-sized businesses announced that the company's chairman and CEO Steve Dubnik was appointed to the Association for Local Telecommunications Services (ALTS) Executive Committee.
